


Diego Garay AIA | President
Diego Garay was born in Detroit and raised in Argentina where he earned a BS and MS in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Buenos Aires. He opened Point Design in 1997 after serving as Creative Director and Regional Vice President at WalkerGroup/CNI for more than a decade. His experience as an architect, brand strategist and designer is comprehensive and spans the globe, including Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and Europe. Published worldwide, Diego’s work has been recognized with design, retail and architectural awards and he is sought after as a speaker in the U.S. and abroad.

Leandro Artigala | Principal
Leandro Artigala was born in Buenos Aires. He studied architecture, receiving a BS and MS from the University of Buenos Aires. After graduating, he joined Mario Roberto Alvarez Architects as a designer and then moved to the firm of Bodas, Miani and Anger, working on large-scale projects including development of Buenos Aires Domestic Airport. Leandro joined Point in 2000. As principal of the firm since 2005, he is responsible for all phases of our projects – from development through implementation of design concepts. Award-winning work in Latin America, Europe and Asia attest to his talents as an architect and retail designer and as a team leader.

Simon Wong RA | Principal
Simon is a register architect graduated from The City College of the City of New York, with over 18 years experience in retail architecture design and planning, His experience extends from new prototype construction to existing network roll-outs. As a manager he has been the leader in a series of major projects located throughout the east coast of the U.S. Projects under his direction include Freehold Mall, New Jersey, Danbury Fair Mall, Connecticut, Bay Plaza, New York City. Among his responsibilities are assembling teams and monitoring each project’s progress to ensure faithfulness to projects objectives, from concept through implementation.

David Wales | Design Director
David Wales holds an advanced degree in architecture from Tottenham College, London, England, and is a member of the Institute of Store Planners. His legendary career encompasses more than 30 years' experience in architecture and interior and industrial design. Prior to joining Point Design, he was a vice president at FRCH, Interbrand Schecter and Walker Group/CNI. Regarded as a pioneer in creating branded environments as an effective retail solution, today, David is a force in transforming Russian retail, managing the design and development of Point’s work for Tsum, the country’s leading luxury department store. David's work has won major awards and is widely published.

Allen Felsenthal | Principal
Allen brings more than 30 years experience to Point Design, having held senior positions in several leading design firms in the U.S. and Asia, including Vice Chairman and CEO at Design International, Chairman at F/M Associates and Managing Director of Walker Group Pacific. He has led the planning and design of many large-scale projects, most notably Kuala Lumpur City Centre and Everbright City and Great Mall, both in Shanghai, China.

Derick Hudspith | Communications Director
A graphic designer and communications specialist with a degree from The Royal College of Arts, London, England, Derick has more than 15 years' experience developing retail branding and corporate identity programs on a global scale. Recognized for developing coordinated print, environmental graphics and multimedia communications programs, Derick has served as Creative Director at FRCH, WalkerGroup/CNI and Newell and Sorrell, all leading retail design firms. Among his many awards, his packaging for Berol Pencils won the prestigious CLIO award and his work for the Bank of New Zealand was honored by The American Banking Association.

Mark Bradin AIA | Principal
Mark Bradin earned a Masters degree from the School of Architecture and Urban Studies of the University of Bucharest, Romania, where he was born. He brings to Point more than 20 years' experience in retail design, including knowledge of all aspects of store planning, merchandising and visual presentation. His special strengths in the areas of strategic planning and account management as well as his creative leadership give him a critical role in all retail projects. Over the years, Mark, previously a Senior Vice President for Walker Group/CNI, directed completion of specialty and department stores for major US and international retailers such as Federated Department Stores, Galeries Lafayette, Isetan, Iwataia, Uniqlo, Robinson, Shoemart and Shinsegae. He is a registered architect in New York State and a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Benny Ngai | Consulting Director
Benny Ngai earned a masters in design management from Pratt Institute and a bachelors degree in architectural technology from City University of New York. Prior to joining Point in 2004, Benny worked for more than eight years on a range of retail and high-end residential projects, honing his skills as a team leader who inspires his colleagues to produce the best client work possible. In this capacity, he routinely manages extended project teams encompassing structural engineers and mechanical, electrical and plumbing consultants and professionals. Fountain Spa, Meadowland Xanadu NJ, Freehold Mall and Danbury Mall are among his most important projects.

Luis Bruno, Principal in Charge | Buenos Aires Office
Luis, a graduate of The School of Architecture and Urban Studies of The University of Buenos Aires where he still teaches, is the principal in charge of Point Design's Buenos Aires office. In 1997, to extend its reach and capabilities in Latin America, Point merged with ABBS, the firm Luis had established. Luis brings an extensive knowledge of brand identity issues and broad experience in the design and implementation of retail environments. He leads many projects as well as multi-disciplinary teams in all phases of development.

Leo Lotopolsky, Principal | Buenos Aires Office
Leo received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Buenos Aires. A principal in Point’s Buenos Aires office, he routinely takes the lead on complex projects, especially those in the retail and food categories. With more than 15 years of experience, his portfolio encompasses a number of impressive retail and architectural projects, including Cordoba Shopping Center in Argentina, Cemaco in Guatemala, Park n’ Shop in China, Centro in Indonesia and work for Shoemart in the Philippines. His ability to integrate the efforts of designers and consultants, including engineers, lighting designers, art consultants and landscape designers among others, strengthens his talent as a designer and manager.

Cecilia Cambeses, Project Coordinator | Buenos Aires Office
After graduating from the School of Architecture and Urban Studies of The University of Buenos Aires, where she continues to teach, Ceci traveled around the world to study architecture in situ. She joined Point in 2005 and today coordinates the work force on our Asian projects, including Shoemart in the Philippines and Centro in Indonesia. In addition to directing some of these large-scale projects, Ceci regularly travels to Asia, serving as liaison for work shared between the New York and Buenos Aires offices. Ceci combines strong design and technical skills to make sure projects are brought in on budget and on schedule.

Luciano Schiaffino Azcue, Area Leader | Buenos Aires Office
Graphic designer, graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires where he continued teaching Morphology. Solid knowledge in all areas related to creation, art and production. Specialized in Corporate Identity and Design & Communication Programs. With ABBS Point Design he actively participated refreshing brands and sign packages for major companies such as Blaisten, Freddo, Megatone, Confina, Disco, Easy, BNB, Tenimbó, Hausbrot. Currently the area leader at Point Design coordinating projects with the NY office.
